Denpasar – Bali Volcano status is lowered to Level 2 (Waspada). The government announced it will immediately boost Bali tourism.
“With this alert status, the tourism industry can promote Bali massively and that is what we will do,” said the Indonesian Minister. Menpar Arief stated Coordinating Minister for Home Affairs Luhut B Pandjaitan has held a meeting related to the condition of tourism in Bali. The meeting which was followed by several ministries decided to reduce the alert status of Bali and its active volcano to level 2.
Decreasing the status of the current alert also allows the government to re-promote the Island of Gods in the international world. This includes a decrease in travel notice or travel warning from other countries as well as travel insurance coverage.
